The artist Max Steven Grossman was invited to Gloria Steinem’s home in NYC to photograph her extensive personal book collection. The resulting work is a piece highlighting Steinem’s work as an iconic activist promoting countless human rights issues. ABOUT THE ARTIST
Max Steven Grossman was born in Barranquilla, Colombia in 1971. He originally studied engineering and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994.
Soon after he discovered his passion for photography. In 2000, Max Steven graduated from New York University and the International Center of Photography with a Master of Arts specializing in photography. The two diverse studies of engineering and the arts have helped to mold Grossman’s creative process into a study of reality and imagination.

Max Steven Grossman's photographs have been exhibited around the world including New York, NY; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Los Angeles, CA; Palm Springs, CA; Beatriz Esguerra Art in Bogota, Columbia; Museum of Modern Art in Cartagena, Colombia; Museum of Modern Art in Barranquilla, Colombia. The artist has exhibited extensively at art fairs and foundations located in Switzerland, Panama, Hong Kong, and Spain.
