Joel Grossman
"I'm interested in the process of creating and understanding how materials transform into ideas. I like the physical part of creation: the present, to be doing. It's my way of looking for some kind of order and return to the essential. That connection between what was and what will be, that game with time and space, that cosmic communication is what I try to preserve and prolong." - Joel Grossman

ARTIST STATEMENT
"The artificial is replacing the natural. This is becoming the norm. This series seeks to return to the primitive and the spiritual.
I'm interested in the process of creating and understanding how materials transform into ideas. I like the physical part of creation: the present, to be doing. It's my way of looking for some kind of order and return to the essential. That connection between what was and what will be, that game with time and space, that cosmic communication is what I try to preserve and prolong.
Space Between Things is the search for a thermal equilibrium. It is an exercise out of the false perception of control, the apparent illusion of having control. It's about the rules and limits that we set arbitrarily. It talks about the direction of time, it's a way of measuring the degree of organization of a system, describes the irreversible. The spaces between things are those which generate the variations in temperature.
It is about the multiple dimensions and as per probability everything has to start over again. We are here now forever." - Joel Grossman
